    Headlight Globe D3

Anyone replaced a D3 headlight globe. Had a look at the the manual and they say the grill has to come out?
I can nearly get my hand down the back of the housing (drivers side globe) to reach the grey cap that looks like it turns to remove? If so I will be right, any tips?
Also, what are the options for upgrading globes?

    Thanks

If the grille has to come out, no problems. There are some plastic tabs at the top of the grill which you squeeze together and one each side on the side of the grille which are a bit harder to spot. Takes around 30 seconds to get it off. Probably about the easiest panel to remove on the car.

Yes clip the grille out then slide the two tabs on the top of the actual light retainers up so the headlight unit can be removed. Unclip the loom - easy peasy.

Clips holding the lamp assembly can be a bit tight (mine were) so use a lever of sorts and a bit of WD40.

(The clips 'open' upwards. If you move them to far it will 'lock' the assembly again. Just takes a bit of jiggery pockery).

All in the hand book, though.
