How to sell things on aulro ?

Just a question for the more experienced AULRO members - what is the best (and appropriate) way to sell D3-related things through aulro:
    1. Use the Aulro "Classifieds" section
    2. List it on fleabay and make a post to the "Marketplace Alerts" section ?
    3. List on fleabay and make a post here mentioning it ?

I previously tried selling some tyres in the Classifieds section and was underwhelmed by the number of views that the posting got. I know that I struggled to actually locate the Classifieds section, and suspect others do too...

I'm considering trying option 3 above, but wasn't sure whether that was offically frowned upon by aulro mods.

http://www.aulro.com/apc/ is the Markets and has sold nearly $4m thru there in the last few years, so it can't be that hard to find.

list it there and post a link to in in marketplace alerts.

realistically priced stuff usually goes quickly

if it sits around then you usually have to high a premium on it.

ebay or carsales and list it in the marketplace alerts thread seems to work fairly well

post the link elsewhere and it will usually be moderated...

I think putting it on ebay and mentioning it in http://www.aulro.com/afvb/marketplace-alerts/ with a link to the ebay listing is ok. That's what I'd do anyway.

I guess I'm used to forums where the For Sale stuff is just another section amongst the rest of the other forum sections (e.g Disco3, plus many other non-4wd forums I've used over the years). When I signed up to aulro, I looked through the forum sections and couldn't see a For Sale section so assumed it didn't exist. It was only a long time later when I went to www.aulro.com directly and noticed that there was a Markets section, separate to the forums (by the way, why is it called Markets on the front page, but Classifieds in the title bar of Internet Explorer ??). Anyway, point taken.

Yeah, maybe that's the root of the problem

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Looks like fleabay + marketplace alerts it is then...

Check out the Verandah section as there are often "goodies" on there ... the recent "Silblade" windscreen wiper offer is a case in point.
    cheers

I guess not if they're very second hand. But then again, I have a set of 5 Goodyear MTRs (255/55/19) that I bought specifically for one major trip, and I don't think I'll really use them again - or at least not enough to have them sitting around cluttering the garage for a year.

They only have 5,500km under them, so if there was somebody out there like me, who might be planning one major trip and didn't want to buy a whole set of new ones at $500 a shot, probably worth a look.

    Hey Greg,
You're not a journalist by any chance?
    Talk about being misquoted.

    (had a chuckle at that)

    MOD HAT ON

and just to make things easier--

This is a typical For Sale post

That is not allowed in ANY Forum other than the Markets.

and would normally be deleted with no notice.
