Interesting that he's had no transmission problems..... Maybe the seperate oil cooler on the 3.0 litre helps?? I put 265000KM on a Maverick for work in 18 months so it's certainly possible.

In the South East of Qld( Brisbane,Gold Coast,Ipswich Etc) Qld Police mobile patrol cars last only 6 weeks and they are stripped and traded. They are never turned off,one crew gets out the other jumps in,so they would never wear the motor.I consider they could be a good buy. What do others think?

Jesse, I wouldn't worry too much about the high Klm's providing you have it serviced by the book.
I sold my Landcruiser 80 series privately with just under 400K and got really good money for it.
Likewise my 100 series. It had almost 200K on it which I clocked up in 4 years, yet I got the same money as vehicles with half the Klm's. In actual fact, the buyer asked if it was enough money......true storey.
    Cheers, Craig

A bloke I worked with bought a falcon that had done 40k in 5months and he never had an issue with it,likewise another who bought an ex taxi with 800K on it and again never spent a dime to keep it going,my old TAFE teacher who drove a LH Torana from Woollongong to Sydney each day and it had near 1 million k's on it running LPG and it started each and every day and a 2a 2.6ltr station wagon that had over a million K's and it kept going too.All of them stayed hot and did long trips and are the better for it. I mentioned in my last post that I had sold a Landcruiser 80 Series with 400K on it. This was a petrol on gas.
I bump into the owners from time to time. This vehicle has now covered close to 650K and never had a spanner near it (apart from maintenance items).
I did make sure that the new owners used Penrite HPR gas oil and changed it every 10K as I did.
Goes to prove that high Klm's dont mean much, providing that the servicing is kept up.
    Cheers, Craig
