Make your own TDV6 oil filter remover

Here is a dimensioned drawing for a tool to remove the oil filter element from the filter cover on TDV6.

The only critical dimensions are on the small end to fit into the slots inside the filter. Made mine out of 8mm MS rod. It works better than a screwdriver or a garden fork ( as seen on UK forum) and cant damage the lip of the plastic element cover

Will the filter from an RRS TDV6 fit? I did an oil change one the other day and all I needed was a 32mm socket to remove the plastic housing.

Fantastic. Should only take about 15 minutes each to tig together once the bottom part is milled. I might make a couple later in the week and see how they go.

There are 2 options, painted mild steel or stainless for those who like longevity. Stainless one would be easier to make.

Ahh. I misread it. Yes, the filter is a bit of a pain to get out of the housing.
