Talking fitting 18"s to a TDV8/ brembo'son 19"s for better off road tyres

The fittment of the brembo's to the rimms is very tight but has anyone ever fitted 18" steel rims to an RRS TDV8? The TDV8 torque is phenomenal and was easily climbing anything i could find, just need some better grip than P tyres worn 50%......

I an looking at decent tyres and the General grabbers, goodyear MTR Kevlars are about the only options I can find in the 255/50 or55/19 size.........$%^&*^(
Some rock hopping on the weekend showed the tyres lacking grip but still managed to keep up with a 4" lifted patrol with double air lockers on some fairly hairy sections.

What the best options guys (and girls)?

Look up Gordon's postings on rims and tyres ( GGHAGGIS ) Gordon also has an 18" alloy rim to fit RRS and D4's with 19" rims and the larger brake package.
