    Got myself a D3 HSE V8

    Hi guys

    I have been trawling through the forum pages for the past month or so for information on the D3s. I found the information very handy in making my decision on getting a second hand D3 HSE V8.

    I must admit it did take a bit of convincing especially after having owned a series 2V8 (about 8years ago) that had a total engine failure..

    I picked up my D3 on the 1st of Oct and set off for drive from Melbourne to Merimbula on the 3rd Oct. I think the D3 has to be the best car I have EVER driven. Even when we got to Merimbula I was just looking for excuses to get back in the car and go for more drives.. Couldn’t get enough of it.

    Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to all the contributors on this forum as I got some vital tips about what to check before getting a second hand D3. And yes, I did get the LR extended warranty..

    Must be a common thing at the moment. I have just got a D3 SE V8. Must say I am very impressed with it. So smooth and quiet. The wife has driven it a couple of times and it's put her off her Defender so I have just brought her a Freelander 1 and will be getting rid of the 90. I am still keeping my 90 though as I need something I can work on
