No Holes, no damage. Just firmly pull the top edge of the cover panel under the steering wheel down to fit.
    ...
The mic bracket's nifty - did you fabricate that yourself?

Not on my D3. It attaches to the front bolt in the bonnet And with bonnet raised is well clear of vehicle

    Cheers

Just say for example there is another AULRO member who also lives in Sydney that would like one of those brackets but doesn't know how to make it or / and doesn't have the materials and is willing to pay another AULRO member to possibly find it in the kindness of their heart to make one for them what could I (I mean) this really nice member do?

    !!!

I thought that was what PM's where for!

Ummm well ok, of course I would not have your Mic clip unless you supply one to me.
Note the aluminium is white powder coated and I then wrap it with black insulation tape which is fine as you cannot really pick it!

    How much? Say $25ea?

    Pm or email please!

My antenna is fitted to my roof rail and the cable hidden under the black plastic trim.

Reception great up on the roof, I have a longer antenna for flat country travel this one is for hilly 4wding and cities. Same principals D3 / D4.
Thanks for the info ~Rich~. Where did you connect the power to?

You mentioned you mounted it under teh seat, I'm planning to do the same. It's a bit tight to get to, did you remove the seat? If so which seat and which group of bolts did you undo?

I just used the cigarette lighter on the back of the console, I might actually wire it permanently to the same source but inside the console.

Mine is the HSE so yes not much room under the drivers seat, so I actually used Velcro and stuck it under the front of the back seat, cables just run under the floor mats I have. Easy to remove when I upgrade the D3.
