    The (Independant) dealer may well suggest the modifications.... I won't say anything (just nod wisely) in case he takes Good Advice, - and does the opposite.

    The service schedule has it service interval as every 10years or 240,000km - it has never been sealed for life.

    Hi Garycol,
    When I went to a local LR agent they told me the gearbox was "sealed for life", the definition of "sealed for life" when pressed meant for the life of the warranty, after that you are on your own.
    If you have a D3 owners handbook handy in the glove box get it out and check page 325 under the title of Capacities. It is in black and white unfortunately.
