Does anyone have a recommended source for the OEM short roof rails for the Disco 4?

Gave my not needed D3 rails to a roof rack project on a D4. See link Brad72 pictures showing his very cool roof rack build project show them. If your not to fussy you might consider a 2nd hand set off a D3? Just a thought as it could be a cheaper option as they seem to fit.

I was looking at a set of roof rails for my D4 yesterday. Rhino racks make a set which look pretty neat. I was quoted $650 fitted. Dealer quoted $1600 for LR originals.

Reccommens Rhino rails. Rails and croos bars are less then LR rails alone. Low profile too. But make sure they put in the rivet at the back.
So with the Rhino roof bars, you need to fit a rhino track?
What about the pop rivet, does it go into the roof?
I need to get some bars for the Foxwing.

It goes through the roof and into the roof frame. Because the Rhino rails are lower profile than the OEM they bend easier, the pop rivet stops the back end of the rail lifting.
The rear rivet is only actually needed if the leg was to go rear of the last bolt on the rails.Originally Posted by CaverD3
The rear leg on mine sits in front of the last bolt so not needed. I think having to drill another hole turned me off.
I have my rack sitting forward with roof topper hanging slightly off the back, so that the rack sits also over the front small rail. Helps spread some of the forward weight.

True, as long as you will never wish to change the position of the rear cross bar. It should not be needed for the Foxwing but I would suggest you have it put in in case you decide to use it differently.
