Hi all, this may sound like a dumbarse question, but here we go.
I have had the Waeco fridge in the back of the D4 for nearly 2 years and have always been conscious of leaving a gap around the air vents at the sides, yet I see rear draw units / slides that have virtually no air gaps.
How does this work???
Cheers, Craig
I guess it depends on the particular fridge. With my setup and Engle I have about 130mm of airspace at the back of the fridge when it is completely in.
Unobstructed airspace on the open side next to the window. I feel this is more than enough breathing space for it.
Thanks Rich & oldsalt. Rich, your fridge with the rear vent makes sense, however still can't see how mine would work (works great at the moment oldsalt).
Cheers, Craig
We had a drawer system in our Disco where the fridge was in an inclosed space, similar to this
after testing the fridge in and out of the space, we found a big difference in temp, at least 3 to 4deg, so I rebuilt my drawer system so the fridge was out in clear space.
To this
Made a huge difference to how the fridge performed.
Baz.
Cheers Baz.
