After being contacted by another Aulro member yesterday enquiring about the Koni's I thought I'd give a brief update of how they are going.
I have now done over 7,000 ks with the Koni FSD's fitted and I still reckon its the best money I have ever spent on any aftermarket improvement on any vehicle I have owned.
They seem to have loosened up a little bit but the handling and ride is still excellent even with the 265x60x18 AT3's fitted, which should not be considered as a high performance street tyre. Just ask the two blokes in the new white RRS who tried real hard to keep up through the twisty sections of Braidwood Road last Sunday.
It is an huge understatment to say the Koni's are confidence inspiring even on a vehicle that already handled pretty good, but they do make that much of a difference to the D3.
cheers,
Terry

I found the attached Koni FSD installation pdf - not a simple install on a 3 but it is doable. The second time around would be easier I suppose.
Various reviews on cars seem to suggest that for the most part, the ride is as stock until you drop into a pothole or off a sharp edge; then the shocks absorb the drop and all seems quieter and more civilized.
One BMW review said they do not turn a BMW into a Buick, (which is good I guess), but I sure miss the ride in my Roadmaster so ....
