    thanks Cristalfb - I'll keep an eye out for the shielding wire around the cables to connect to the ground and make that grounding wire

    Install done - successfully!

    I connected the headphone jack right behind the stereo and the plug, soldered the wires in and ran the jack down the side and underneath the plastic to come out on the passenger side near the cup holder.

    Bonus: specifically tested this because I'll either connect an iPhone or an iPod - with the iPhone hooked up and making a call, I can speak normally whilst phone is in the centre console and hear the other person via the speakers!

    Thanks for your help everyone! Super happy! The sound in these cars is amazing from factory!
