    Anyone using polybushes

My l322 has a worn lower front wishbone bush (lr018345) which is the same as a d3/4/rrs apparently.

Has anyone replaced this bush with a poly one as I feel that the standard fixed rubber ones restrict the flex and break.

I normally am not a fan of poly in other situations, but in this instance i feel that they will last longer and give less resistance to the up and down movement of the wishbone.

    Hi Andrew,
An observation. I have no personal experience with the replacement of this particular bush with urethane. However, in general the urethane bushes are stiffer with less flex. Put them into a situation where flex is required and often, and they will crack. Make the bush stronger, and the flex is reduced. This may enable the bush to last longer, but reduced flex may not be a good thing, and could have negative wheel travel and handling impacts.

Others will have a point of view, and you can also check out the UK sites.

that may have been the case 30 years ago...no so now.
the only poly type bushes ive seen crack were some cheap ones brought in from the UK, yellow they were.
if you stick with super pro you cant go wrong.

Its my 04 L322 td6. Some sites quote bush part number LR018345 as a d3 d4 rrs part number which is why I asked.

The part looks OEM. Here is the companies web site, which looks quite interesting. They have a lot of little parts. http://www.miamibritish.com/
