    Interesting Statistic

The Toyota Land Cruiser made a top 10 list in the US.

    Top 10 Worst-Selling Vehicles of 2011

These are your top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2011

Clearly the Americans are smarter than I thought....

Toyota apparently designed the latest Landcruiser to what they thought US buyers woul want in a 4x4.
Having only sold just over a 1600 units in the US in 2011 maybe they should have designed it around what the average Aussie buyer wants instead considering we buy lots more of them then the Yanks do.

    cheers,
    Terry

Toyota actually design it around what the Middle East want.

The two biggest markets for Land Cruiser (and Patrol) are the Middle East and Australia, and I think we take more commercial vehicles (eg 79 Series and Patrol utes) and they take many more wagons, and buy more overall. (although for a few years the sales figures were pretty even, one year we'd buy more, the next would be the Middle East)

The Land Cruiser was never meant to be a mainstream model in the USA. If I were in the states, I'd probably buy the Sequoia instead, as it is similiar in size to the American SUVs.

Also the Sequoia is siginificantly cheaper than the Land Cruiser as it is Made in the USA.

Interesting note as the 100 series continues to increase in value faster than the share market and hardened Toyota fans are reticent to take the leap.
