Hi Richard,
Please PM me with your address to post the template.
I'll forward the Rock Sliders manufacturers details then. Not sure whether he is continuing to make them or not.
Cheers, Craig

Brad is still making them. Just finished putting mine on this morning and will now use your great idea thanks. Have the front mud flaps to use as a template and might use a bit of the metal to give a bit more streagth but as your idea is flexible I assume I will not be replacing them as often as the OEM ones which will not fit with Brads sliders on at the front. Try link to Brads business for the sliders

Recieved my template yesterday, thanks Craig:BigThumb:
Baz.
I finished the mudflaps today, I made a slight modification to Craigs design, I lengthened the flap so I could use the hole that the wheel arch trim is attached by instead of drilling a hole in the trim for the top, this is a clip, but I put in a nutsert to attach the top hole of the mudflap, this means no need for Xmas tree clips, I didn't use any sikkaflex either, I'll wait to see how they go first.

And then attached it.

Very happy with how they look, thanks for the template Craig.

Hi Craig
Is your mudflat template for a D3? If so could I have one too? Just emailed Brad for some rock sliders.
Toni
Hi Craig, thanks very much for the Template, received yesterday.
I visited Brad's factory, for Rock Sliders, and after an hour, or so, I decided on the narrow sliders, purely based on maximum strength, when coming to rest on a 'Rock'. As it was, they were the only ones he had in stock at the time, so rather than wait to have anything else made up, I took them.
Like yours, they run the full length of the sill, and I was wondering how you dealt with the plastic Trim Panels at the bottom of both front Wings? The ones that fit under the Flares, and directly behind the Mud Flaps. Brad had cut his, in a straight line, to mate with the rubber dust flap, at the base of the main doors.
At the moment, I cannot see any way to fit them, without destroying them. I hate doing that!!
Also, are you at all concerned about the larger than normal, air gap, that now exists, between the rubber flap, at base of the doors, and the Sliders vertical mounting plate. The discarded, long, plastic trim did at least afford a first line of defence against dust ingress round the door seals, as they protruded more, and mated with the rubber strips.
Thanks for your help Craig.
Regards,
Don.
Here's mine - I just cut it straight and refitted it with the help of a little silastic....
