    Redarc remote head brake controller

    has anyone in Brisbane area fitted one of the above? I see they are good value on Ebay ($159) although assume extra wiring etc is needed. Just would like to catch up with someone here in Qld who might be able to assist / recommend an auto electrician who knows what they are doing (with a D4)

    On an extra - I remember seeing a post where another person fitted the controller in the little flat black panel to the left of the instrument cluster...

    He also had the Aux Fuel Gauge/Switch there.

    Looked quite neat..

    Correct me if I'm wrong but the Red Arc brake controllers don't do proportional brake loading (or what ever it is called) do they?

    I was of the understanding that they are the old school design that don't apply the brakes any harder then the number setting even if you stomp on them in an emergency?

    Correct - but that is part of the decision making process in selecting a controller - proportional or not proportional and go from there.
