    I found something new.

I found something new on the D3 I didn't know it did. You may all know about this but here it is anyway.
While at our Ravenshoe place on holidays I was using the D3 as a tractor to pull logs about to chop up for fire wood.
1 large log was on the creek bank down a steep, soft climb of about 100 meters with a sharp turn at the bottom. Big Motha of a log too.
So after a try of getting up with every thing standard & getting nowhere I tried low range but couldn't get traction around the turn.
So I tried rock crawl which I have never used before.
And on the little screen under the speedo I get a little set of wheels that show me which way the front wheels are pointing & a locked center diff.
I don't have the screen that does sat nav & all that so I thought this was really cool.
So that's the new thing I found, had the car 2&1/2 years & it still comes up with cool stuff.
BTW I never did get that mongrel log up the hill. Once I got around the turn the log kept digging in & trashing the track so after much tricky maneuvering I pulled it back to more or less where I started.

    D3's make pretty good tractors.

It does this on my D4 as soon as I turn the wheels. It happens for me in sand mode also. Not sure about other modes, as I normally have the touch screen on....this shows it in all modes.

It also should half active graphics which show what part of the drive train is locked, such as the transfer case, rear locking diff if you have one and so on.

Additionally, it will show you wheel height, as well as steering angle. You should be able to put it into that mode from the buttons on the nav console. That would be the 4x4 info screen.
