    Hi Guys

The dealer has loaned me an OEM hitch to see if I can get a pintle adapter and I can't seem to get the key into the lock/unlock position.

The little stainless pin seems to be frozen, the green handle stays in the one position, the key will rotate but will not come out of the tumbler and the tongue for the lock position stays retracted.

Is this what should happen when the receiver is out of the car?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Yes Diana,

The key stays in the hitch when not inserted.

When you insert it, the green knob spins around rapidly & "snaps" locked.
You can then rotate the key to remove & "lock" the hitch in/on the car.

The green knob will still pull outwards on it's axis, and rotate a bit, but not enough to allow the hitch to release.

    Regards,

    Les.

Would be easier if they had loaned me the whole D4, but I guess that will have to wait until they deliver the car, hopefully this week.
