No, yes. Friday build?
Have been investigating under bonnet locations for accessories and dual battery system and have noticed a few quality control issues.
The battery/fuse box cover has three clips, two at the front and a third on the engine side at the rear. The rear one has a hook device that doesnt.
On the cover over the ABS pump there are two clips at the front, one high up easy to access and a second one down low close to the outside edge of the engine bay, no matter how hard I try this one also doesnt clip.
Have others found the same problems?
Also on the rear doors, there is a feature in the frame where a rubber should press up against and a correcponding hole on the door where a bump stop should be inserted. The rubber is missing on both sides.
Does anyone have the bump stops?

Perhaps the battery covers or boxes are a bit distorted but the rear rubbers must have been missed due to the open holes rather than deleted. If they're the only glitches then you've done well.

The covers are not an air tight / water tight seal, just a cover that latches in the front via 2 clips & a locating peg to the side, it is retained at the rear via the foam seal that I tucked under the windscreen plinth.
The door rubber buffers were probably kicked off accidentally from the first client who drove th vehicle!

From what i've heard, numerous people i know with all kinds of new cars, Landies, Nissans, Toyotas, basically everything are having little issues with fit and finish. My grandfathers SDV6 D4, has had a few little issues, cruise control was playing up a bit, A pillar trim came off, which resulted in an interesting whistleing noise. Neighbours 3.0 RRS has had a few problems mainly because he is a perfectionist, and has had Purnells solve every rattle, but every brand seems to have these little issues, cars are so packed full of technology i think for a manufacturer to get things right the first time would be remarkable. One of my teachers has a Prado which is used to tow his boat and horse float, it's fog light has fell out of it's holder in the bumper. So i think your problems seem relatively normal. Oh my grandfathers car also had an oil leak up top somewhere, Purnells sorted that aswell. Always good to know people in the industry.

Just so you know I'm not making the vehicle up!
While we're under the bonnet, when I was at Opposite Lock last week they showed me a customers D4 that had just had a make over with accessories. One item was the DC-DC inverter/charger for the dual battery system. This was fitted inside the box with the ABS pump in an empty space on the engine side of the pump. In my D4 there is a glow plug module and along the engine side a large dark grey box of some sort taking up most of the space where the DC-DC unit was. What is the dark grey module on mine for and why wasn't it on the other D4?

That's probably the transfer case module and it may have been moved in the other D4. Mine's now mounted under the brake pipes without its plastic box.

Diana,
Congrats on the purchase, nice color
As Graeme has said the 2nd object is the transfer case ECU, it is quite funny as the ECU itself is probably half the size of the plastic that holds it in place.
I would be very careful of some of the battery systems out there, do your homework & read what valuable info is given in this great forum.
I have Tim's (Drivesafe) unit & it works a treat for what I need (fridge in rear of vehicle & a couple of camp lights).
Goo luck in setting it up, this is where the fun begins.
