    My first D3 fault!

Well I am not sure you can really call it a fault, more that something has worn out after just shy of 200,000km of fairly harsh use.

The drivers side door stay has given up the ghost.
Has anyone changed this part over themselves?
Just wondering how much of a job it is.

The plastic covering has worn through and it now 'clunks' open a little further than it really should. Hasn't flow apart yet as I am aware of the issue, but am certain to forget at some stage.

Looks like two hex nuts on one side so assume it is two on the other, about a minutes per nut on and off at the most. 8 minutes and you should have a new one on. Not broken mine yet even with a few more KM than you.

Have a closer look. Looks like the bracket thingy goes into the body to me. Is 2 nuts on the body side but looks like trim will have to come off to remove bracket thingy from inside the car. Shouldn't be to hard shurely maybe longer than 2 minutes though.
