Thanks 4 that mine is a 2007 RRS so should be ok then .

I would still use the battery bolt in front of the battery box.
If you put to much tension on the -ve terminal you may bulge the post & have battery issues in future, may also damage the fixing terminal. Then you will never be able to tighter he battery terminal.

That sounds like good advice ,will change to earth pick up in front of batt box , Thanks

Hi Fatso, first off, under no circumstances connect anything on the negative terminal of the cranking battery.

On any D3, D4 or RRS, this is an absolute NO-NO.

There are two 6mm earth studs mounted in the inner guard, just in front of the craning battery compartment.

Or if you are working on the other side ( driver’s side ) there is an 8mm earth stud in the inner guard, towards the back of the driver’s side battery compartment.

As pointed out, there is a threaded hole in the cranking battery’s positive terminal clamp.

A 12mm long 8M bolt and washer fit perfectly in this hole.
