Thread: Trailer camera to factory monitor?

I believe that the short answer is "NO" I have just been in this same place and have ran a Polaris system for the van. totally separate system. I think there may have been something talked about a Russian unit that might have been compatable somewhere on here, maybe a search. I have the head unit sitting in the glove box and run the cable out around the side of the dash and have it suctioned on the windscreen when required.

I wonder if you could put some kind of a swith inline that changes the signal from the car to the caravan camera, with a sort of solenoid??? Maybe a camera identical to the one on the car or with the same specs could be wired in like this, if it is a single wire you could even utilise a spot in the trailer plug, but not sure if it would work, only an idea

There has been a dicussion on www.disco4.com about it I think it is possible to add one. wiggs had done so I think.

Think I just saw on another thread that discotwinturbo mentioned his trailer camera. No idea what his setup is...
