The control arms do last longer than 80000km but the bushes & ball joints wear. Most repairers replace the arm assemblies as it's easier for them (arms come assembled with bushes & ball joints).

Yes it was and I was under the impression I was buying the best product on the market?
If anyone else has the same warranty could you post your dealings with Allianz as I'm very disappointed to say the least??

    Thanks

the joints and bushes in the arms arent covered. The arms themselves are.

If you had snapped the arms they would be replaced, worn out bushes are not.

The caveat being that if the failure of the arm is identified ad being partially or completely caused by the failed bushes then the arm is not covered.

    in layspeak, so to speak.

Had bushes replaced twice under my Allianz warranty. Plus ARB bushes. Unless you were sold a different policy they should be covered.

Twisted, just back on the compressor

I thought the extended warranty, was an extension of the manufactures warranty, of which the compressor would be repaired/replaced if faulty.

When you say "not listed", what do you have to list every part of the car.
They don't think its your compressor to pump up your tyres do they ?

    Guys,
Not sure if everyone is reading from the same book here.

Allianz issues "extended warranties" in many forms.

LR have there own ext warr which is underwritten by Allianz.

Allianz themselves also just sell ext warr to the general public.

If you have the LR version it will be in a little booklet with a LR emblem & it's fancy name which escapes me at present.
Allianz have there name branded on the front over of there booklet.

Generally the LR version covers more from what I have been involved in, in the service dept.
I have found that the Allianz one has caveats & you really need to be aware of what is/isn't covered, even tho' they are supposed to be the same to a point!

    Cheers.
