can only recommend to only use the Landrover factory pad's my mechanic used same brand and specs after market pads and they squeaked for 2000k's until I got him to replace them with original Landrover and the squeaking went instantly

I also looked to save a few $$ and bought after market pads, squeaked for ages and the sensor conection point was just a fraction too small which meant it was a faf to fit. Not worth it.

I have gotten 80,000 miles out of my aftermarket EBC rotors. I have changed the pads a few times, and lightly turned them at each new pad fitting. Compared to the 20,000 miles out of the OEM ones, there is not much comparison.

Pads are definitely a simple job to change... rotors should be easy enough to do also if you've done them before. Getting ready to change mine too so will be interested to hear how you go for prices.

Hi Mully,

I have never done anything remotely as mechanical as this. Have done oil changes and minor maintenance on Unimogs in the Reserves but very different to working on the every day ride of my own.

I have downloaded the PDF from Disco 3 Club site, thanks Lou, so just trying to work out if I go for it or not. Will let you know next week if I do it or chicken out.

Hiya Dom, if you have any doubts definitely leave it to others as brakes (particularly on the heavy D3) are too important to not get 100% right.

Def have a read of that PDF and decide from there... any sincere doubt though and walk away for others to do... maybe ask if you can look over their shoulders.
