    Hi Yorkie,
Been through any water recently? Might be worth checking the tranny module behind the battery, look for evidence of moisture. Not sure if the tranny module has been moved or the wiring orientation has been changed on the D4, used to be a problem on the D3. I know people were talking about the module being moved to where the ABS module is. Just a wild guess....
Agree with others, read the fault codes if possible and go from there. The tranny module fault came up as soon as the ignition was switched on not after 200klms, so it is just an idea.
Good luck hope you find the problem soon.

All fixed, found Lincon Land Rover in Port Lincon by luck, according to the 1800 number the only dealers in SA are in Adelaide

Anyway they fixed our problem, there was nothing in the diognoses to say what the fault was, but he reflashed the car put the latest 3.0lt gearbox upgrades and this seemed to solve the problem, it also may have solved our fuel economy problem as well, which was a very good bonus, going from 18 to 19l/100k to 15l/100k!!!!!

So if you are in the area of Port Lincoln, and you need help, drop in to Lincoln Land Rover and have a chat to Neville and Peter, great blokes and real Land Rover enthusiasts.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.
