Sorry don't have first hand experience with the 19" A/Ts but we have had Hankook tyres on various SUV work vehicles over several years and in general they are good value for a relatively cheap tyre, not sure I would want to risk them on a D3/4 though.

    which Hancook tyre?
I had previously looked through their range and didn't find any 19" AT, only their Ventus on road.

Haven't read much in the forum about the Hankooks but for what its worth I put the General Grabbers on about a month ago and found them excellent. No noise difference from the wranglers. $290 each. Simply value for money. Acknowledge the Coopers may be better but $$$.

    Replacing Pirelli ATRs?

After having an aquaplaning experience on my otherwise much loved Pirelli's, I am now also considering the Hankook DynaPro AT-M.

Has anyone had a set of these on their D4?

I will be towing a caravan and doing long dirt outback roads but nothing to radical off road.

    G'day RoverLander,

I have the Hankook DynaPro AT-Ms on my D4 and have been very happy with them.

I put them on to replace the Wranglers as I was doing a trip six months ago towing my Bushtracker caravan that covered about 6k kms of dirt roads and tracks through central and western Qld, the Gulf and the NT up to Roper Bar. I travelled just on 12k kms on all sorts of roads and tracks including some very rocky ones without problems or the tyres showing any ill effects. As a matter of fact they faired a lot better than the reasonably new MTZs that my son-in-law had on his Pajero towing a camper trailer, they chipped and scuffed quite badly.

I did a fair bit of research and soul searching, I all but decided on the Cooper LTZs but then chose the Hankooks after speaking with a well known outback tour operator who is using them on his D4 and at that time was quite pleased with them.

I have now travelled about 16k kms on them, they are wearing quite well, there is no appreciable increase in noise over the Wranglers and I do not suffer the aquaplaning that I did with the Wranglers. At this stage I would buy them again.
