Hi Robocop I got it wrong in my intial post. The rubber that had split in my case was the inner door rubber attached to the felt trim. The other rubber being on the door itself.
Are you guys talking about the felt seal around the door frame?

I asked my dealer about the warranty issues here.
he said if it keeps failing LR will replace it as many times as it takes until they get it right.
Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

The new consumer laws (ACL) are quite good. The consumer now has quite a good position when it comes to getting cars fixed, replaced or refunded. I'm speaking from experience with my previous ride, which I had a negotiated outcome with the manufacturer two days before the final CTTT hearing. The big point is though, you must have purchased the vehicle after January 1 2011 for the law to apply. Prior to that huge warranty is all you have to go on. ACL continue to apply to the vehicle beyond the warranty period given reasonable expectations in relation to the cost of the vehicle. I have just ordered a my13 TDV6 and I can tell you now, if there are any issues with quality, the dealer and Landrover will no about it. I went with the same dealer I purchased the last vehicle off so he knows that I know how to work the system to the point that I was able to relieve myself if the last lemon without losing a cent.

						Well done Gribbs.
Consumer law is very powerful in Oz. Most do not know their rights and are not prepared to force the issue. It is a pity more are not prepared to force car brands to honour their obligations.
I had mine (driver's side inner door seal) replaced under warranty also. No problems, but they just replace it with the same piece of tissue thin crap which is the cause of the problem in the first place.
