    Incorrect sorry...

Everything influenced by the power increase is voided...

So Cooling system, engine, driveline (diffs, shafts, hubs, axles, wheel studs, transfer case etc are all voided...)

Sorry, a modification to your vehicle cannot void any part of the warranty in itself.

Void means there is no warranty.

Under consumer law LR would need to convince a court that the modification caused the failure. Of course they have bigger wallets if they wish to pursue. Same as claims beyond warranty under "reasonable expectation".
A modification in itself does not void a warranty.

If this was so any modification would void the warranty. Bull Bar, racks, winch, rear bar, CB or second battery (would void all elecrical failures?)

Manufacturer must consider the warranty claim, they can however refuse the claim for the above reasons.

Land Rover however is much better than most when it comes warranty claims.

I put a performance tune on my car (09 D3) from viezu this morning - using the viezu switch.
Process is similar to that of the bluefin that I used on my Golf GTI, but they give you two switchable tunes (performance or performance / Eco blend)

I installed the performance tune and after my first 40km of mixed driving (suburbs, highway), I'm happy to say it has become much more responsive, and economy has improved from a steady 9.5 down to 9.2... I'm expecting it to get better, but I'm pleased with that on the performance tune, which I was expecting to be a bit thirsty.

I'll make a separate thread at some point when I have more data to work with, so don't take this as a recommendation just yet
(and why would you from a guy who has had his car for a couple of weeks and 2 posts to his name...)

I plan on switching back to stock and test it back to back on the bum dyno when I get a chance.

Viezo switch is the same device as the Atric and BAS module...

That company has been pushing hard in recent times...

An accessory is not a modification, if you increase your power you will negate (theres another word for void :P ) your driveline warranty, that is an engine modification, you are changing the mapping, this WILL have effects on the car and wear and tear.

Sure be nieve, but if i were a manufacturer and someone blew up a diff because they got 500hp out of a car i wouldn't be replacing it.

All i am saying is do your research, turning a blind eye will bite you on the bum later on. But suit yourself, when you post for a refused warranty claim though i'll say "told ya so"

    Cheers
    Will

I ordered through Carformance.com.au In QLD - the same guys I am getting a provent from.
Greg has been tinkering with diesels for a long time. Viezu are making pretty big strides with distributors across the country. But you don't need a local guy to use a v-switch, just a PC and an Internet connection. I can be back on the stock tune (or the eco tune)within minutes with the v-switch.

As far as warranty goes, if I left the car as it came out of the box I wouldn't be keeping it for long. Thats not a dig at the LR. Same applied to my GTI, which was software tuned with a bluefin 1500km after I picked it up. Most manufacturers overengineer their hardware and then have to tune for a beige medium that suits the whole planet.

Most software vendors have "warranties" of some sort but I'm going to enjoy the car I've got while I've got it.
