    D4 MY12 Latching Aircon Recirc

    Hi All,

Sadly spending much of my driving time on the freeway, I like to keep my aircon on recirculate (avoiding traffic fumes!). I have noticed-

-pressing the recirc button has a timing of about 5 mins
-pressing and holding the recirc button latches, but seems to turn off the aircon "Auto"

However, when turning off ignition and back on again, you have to re latch the recirc.

Does anyone know how to latch the recirc until choosing to unlatch?

    Thanks, John

I think what you are doing is the only way you can do it. It's probably a safety thing. If the car is sealed well enough.....well we hear what can supposedly happen.

My aircon auto turns off too.

It's like the TR setting....when you hop back in, you need to select the setting again (except sand mode I think)

I have found leaving on recirc for too long after switching makes me qite drousy. You need to remember to switch to noemal after passing the smelly bits.

When I select Recirc I get a message that it is timed (Hi-line audio) It is I think for 30 min.

It does that, but if you hold the recirc button, it will lock it in....latched recirc comes up, not timed.
