						Quick introduction.
Just bought a new 2012 TDV6 in Fuji White with 7 seat leather pack and Technology Pack. Given the 2.7 is in run-out and they have stopped making them, obviously you can't spec a car up - you can only choose from what is available. I wanted Nav and camera, so this was one of the few available. Plus, I actually prefer white so it worked out OK. The only other thing I would have optioned would have been diff and rear air.
Oh, got corporate too so some free servicing. I assume this is good for any Land Rover, not just the dealer where it was purchased.
I haven't even seen the car yet , purchase it over the internet and then did the deal over the phone. I'm in Brisbane, car is in Sydney (Macarthur Land Rover). The fist time I see it will be when I pick it up.
Looking forward to getting behind the wheel.
Cheers
Dan

The corporate servicing is through all LR dealerships. Mine seem to be on the cars LR file and appears automatically when it goes in for a service.
Congratulations on your purchase. Defintely permagrin coming....

Welcome Dan, I'm sure you'll love it.
I had the corporate thing on my D3. It's an LR thing, not specific to a dealer.

Hi Dan.
Do you mean E diff ? Unfortunately not a viable retro fix for the E diff. Rear air ? Not sure what you mean by that. The D4 has std full air suspension. Make sure you check out the FAQ's at the beginning of the D3/D4 section of the forum.

Yes, what I meant was that if I was building a car for order I would have ordered the E-Diff and the Rear Air-conditioning. Given that I had to choose from available stock only, I had to take what was on offer. In the end the Sat Nav won out so I chose the one I did - it was one of only a few that had Sat Nav available.
I have no intention of retro-fitting any options.
Cheers

Well, what can I say. Love the car. I've had a lot of cars in my time, and this is just as good as any I've owned previously. Stepped out an Audi S3 last year and into a Prado (temporary hand me down from my wife after she got her new car last year). Was always going to change the Prado, just a matter of finding the time and working out what I wanted. Was always going to be a four wheel drive, we need at least one in the family due to our love of camping and just getting away.
Loved driving the Prado. Very comfortable, and quite "car like" for a four wheel drive. I did miss the creature comforts of the Audi (leather, auto everything, solid feel), but the S3 was a manual and I'm getting too old for that.
I like to think the D4 is cross of the two - comfort of the Prado in terms of driving position and general lazy feel and creature comforts of the S3 in terms leather and auto everything.
Looking forward to being part of this community for a few years to come.
Cheers
Dan
P.S. I've always done something to my cars. Last two, Audi S3 and Audi TT were chipped (S3 went further with fuel pump and dump pipe - 250Kw of mmmmm'ness) and the TT got some bigger shoes (17's to 19's).
Plans for D4 are simple. Tint (done) and 20" wheels (looking now). Leaning towards a set of factory 20" wheels at this stage, but still checking out options. Probably go the Pirelli tyres again in 20".

I hope there aren't any rough roads around your parts, my neighbour has replaced 2 tyres on his 11MY Sport (30kkm) due to sidewall damage (20" Continentals) and he is very cautious with where he drives it, we have had no trouble with our (19" Pirellis) on the D4Just something to think about with a 2.7 tonne Land Yaught.
You'll enjoy it
Cheers
