2.7 or TD3 looking at front dash

Test drove the new D4 today for the first time allegedly a 3l v6 twin turbo.

At the top of the dash it (dial part not screen) had numbers in keypad formation and no analogue clock. When I looked at a 2.7 that I was told from another dealer this was the dash configuration of that.

I thought the 3l twin turbo came with the dash with the analogue clock.

I suppose I am asking how can you tell it is 3l compared to a 2.7. It does say SDV6 SE on the back door.

It did drive well with plenty of power but I have only ever driven a 2.7 that was a d3 with 70000 km on the clock.

    thanks,

    banjo

The D4 should have an analogue clock (ie a real one, not a graphic) at the top of the centre console, just below the infotainment screen. As below:

This is independent of the engine fitted. If it said "SDV6" on the back, it was a 3.0 ltr turbo-diesel.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

Only if you get the upgraded ICE (audio). Both the TDV6 (2.7) and SDV6 SE (3.0) get the "buttons" and non-touch screen display as standard.

    TDV6 standard screen: 2012 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 4 TDV6 COMMANDSHIFT Series 4 MY12 Cars For Sale in NSW - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au

    SDV6 standard screen: 2012 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 4 SDV6 COMMANDSHIFT SE Series 4 MY12 Cars For Sale in NSW - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au

    Cheers

yeap my first D4 was the base model SE with non touch screen and no analogue clock, It also had no badge other than Disco 4 as they had run out of stock .. aparently

The new one is also a 3l but has the touch screen and analogue clock, not sure of the badge and it's raining, so not checking now but it does have one his time.

The thing is, the clock is not going to tell you what the engine is.. in this case

Edit, sorry Banjo just re-read your question and you are talking 2012 models. I am talking 2010 and 2011 models so it could well be different... Knowing LRA

Thank you all, i personally prefer the buttons but the updated audio would be nice

I thought it drove better than the 2.7 that I drove but thought I would check just in case
