    My horn kept going off

    Hi all,
Not sure whether anyone else has had this problem.......and no, it isn't a personal problem

The horn on my car (alarm) has been going off randomly lately, about 20 minutes after I lock it. Rang the ever reliable Sneigy and he new what it was straight away......and was spot on.
It was the micro switch under the drivers side bonnet latch.

    Thanks heaps Sneigy.

BTW: My wife says thanks as well.

    Cheers, Craig

My D4 did the same thing within 3 weeks of delivery then stopped doing it. I put it down to an insect or something inside the car or a possum jumping on it. If it starts up again I'll check the switches.

Funny, mine did it yesterday. Only the once, hasn't repeated.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Cheers

My D3 has been doing the same.

I thought it could have been the suspension releasing the air that may have been causing it.

    So what is the fix??

Did you replace the micro switch to fix the problem?

Yes I replaced the switch Gary.....at least a Landrover repairer in Mornington did. Cost $26.00 all up. All good so far.

    Cheers, Craig
