Thanks everyone. I didn't realise they were so sensitive, and still not sure I understand the logic behind displaying any error on the dash that isn't logged.
I'll grab a new battery, charge it up with the c-tek before putting it in, and see how she goes.

They'll probably just come up as communication losses, which really to a tech doesn't help you at all when diagnosing a car, because cars get faults like that in them all the time.

In my D4 2 weeks ago I climbed in to start it & the thing lit up like an early Christmas tree, took it to work, grabbed the tester to find "battery good-recharge"
State of charge was only 65% so I thought we'll, I will give it a good charge & that will be it.
4 days later off to work to teach driver training & Christmas tree again...Aaaaargh!
Tow to work on Monday - grabbed the tester again to find "faulty battery - bad cell"
Replaced battery & all ok at present.
Very frustrating & I can understand owners being peeved about the same circumstances happening to them but if the tester says all ok, we can only go on what diagnostic equipment we have to work with & these testers are what LR "tell" us to purchase.
