System engine Fault and power loss

Just on the way back from our 3 weeks 5000k outback NSW and QLD trip
Just had Disco come up with System Engine Fault and loosing all power.

I stoped switched engine off and the error disappeared after starting again just to re-ocoure after a couple of k's. I stopped now at a servvo and waiting for NRMA.

Car temperature appeared normal, oil is sufficient, as well as coolant but discovered crack in one hose but sure whether hat is the cause?

    Any suggestions?

Blown turbo hose, was told the Disco hoses hardly ever break so did not buy any spares, premium NRMA road site assist will tow us home though

Duct tape over the crack would get you home, then buy a silicone replacement. This is a common fault.

I carry some 'Rescue Tape' for such emergencies - is self amalgamating and strong enough to make a temporary fix on most pipes including coolant hoses and I guess turbo hoses.

Thanks guys tried the rescue tape I bought from eBay but was very difficult to tighten it around hose even when removing to bracket. Did a temporary duct tape fix but wasn't sure whether I would blow anything with duct tape solution.

Kids loved the idea of riding in a tow truck so thought I make use of my premium NRMA membership.

Will now be ordering silicon hoses to get them fired ASAP any idea whether someon in oz sells them?

the factory hose is pretty cheap actually, and lasts reasonably well if you are having trouble finding silicon ones.
as said they aren't all that common a failure point in d3 s but higher km examples around 200k could benefit from new ones. last one i replaced had 190+km and heaps of towing

Great I guess from uk would take 10 days to arrive here, I would do no harm to turbo when driving locally with duct tape solution??

Sorry for spelling on iPad in tow truck

May just buy standard hose until, silicon arrives, is this a diy job? could not see where the bottom part of hose is attached.
