Well got the dual battery installed today and have to say I'm happy with the result.

We must be brothers, I finished my install today too. I like the way you have run black split flex along the red leads to the terminals. I think I might do that too.

One thing I don't like is having the battery terminals exposed. I got some of these on order. Don't know if they will fit but will give them a go.

Did mine a few months ago,be careful the battery does not touch the coolant reservoir.

Mine works well & the kit is relatively easy to fit,and well done.I changed one of the rear plugs to a hella plug as i prefer them. The male hella plug clips into the female socket a lot better than the cigarette type, therefore making a good, firm connection.

Some suppliers call them merrit plugs

Any particular reason you put the battery there rather than in the second battery spot on the drivers side?

That spot on the D4 is full of 'things'.

Traxide, with the USI 160 controller.

What did you pay for that Optima D34. I got quoted up to ~$400 with most around the $380 mark. Finally found a place around Perth which had them on the shelf for $260. I assume the people selling them for $260 are making a fair margin. The $380 + retailers seem to marking them up excessively.

I couldn't get mine to not touch, no matter what I shoved.

I got my Optima D34 off eBay for $260, inc delivery, so yeah, there's some margin on them!

I think I have about 4-5 mm of clearence from the reservoir.

Gary, as far as putting the battery on the other side it just wasn't gonna fit without moving a few things, plus I put my compressor there.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347823214.278102.jpg

Yes the traxide is a nice bit of kit, pity about the service I received though.

I still have not run the 6 b&s cable to rear yet as I'm waiting on a brake cntrlloler so I can run all wires at once.

    Cheers billy

Hi Canaussie and no excuse for poor service, I can only apologies.

Hi Stuart, and were you supplied with a plastic battery hold down bracket or a metal one?
