There is allowance in that pressing to make it stronger as well as when added the cassette that the sunroof sits in make up the structural rigidity that the vehicle requires.

We used to send our vehicles out by the dozen to Prestige sunroof's when the Discovery2 was being delivered as there was plenty of room.

Discovery3/4/Spt we will NOT sublet a sunroof to be fitted before delivery.

If you want to do it, then its YOUR choice & money.
I have a friend that has done & yes it works fine looks good, again your choice.

    Cheers
Makes sense, appreciate the input Pete.

Afyter seeing the full details for the 2013 i will probably try to squeeze the alpine roof into the budget.

    Craig,

Had it done at Prestige Sunroofs' in Burwood.
    Excellent organisation & extremely professional.

It is a fully electric unit.
I do know they also do a manual version if that is what you require.

    Cheers Mate.

Having had a factory sunroof in my RRc I made sure I got a D4 without one!

They're great in mild weather, but allow heat into the car in hot climates and when the seals fail you have no end of water leak trouble.

They also don't do well in hail storms and in a roll-over the glass shatters, weakens the roof structure and you risk loss of limbs as the your arms flail around potentially getting caught between the road and the open hole in the roof.

    Just my opinion though.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Did you put your prestige sunroof in after taking delivery, or did the dealer organize it? If so was it part of the deal or you just paid the extra and they delivered it all completed?

Only reason I ask is ULR are saying they won't do it, so looks like a after delivery senerio.

    Thanks

I organised this after taking delivery based on feedback from the dealer allowing for the sunroof to be paid separate to the car thus keeping the addition taxes down.
Although I had to take the car in myself, I didn't have any issues and also support from the dealer.

I personally love it, it lets light in & the cabin seems airy, if you are worried about heat build up then don't, you live in Melbourne remember not Cairns ;-)
On really hot day the good part is that the sunroof is there to open & let the hot air escape quickly.

This is my choice, not trying to sell u something you don't want, just giving some friendly advise.

    Cheers & good luck.
Can the sunroof and sheet glass be retro fitted?
