D4 "oversize" tyres

Will do.....Have them sitting in the shed, and they look great just lying on top of each other.

Won't be a while though for my next offroad jaunt.....but will post pics the minute they are on.

I was having a browse at Maxxis tyres today and notice that they have a 18" 265. 65 bighorn. OD of 790mm, I wonder if that would be pushing it. It's actually smaller OD than above mentioned

They should fit fine, but as with the with the 285/60 R18 you would have to deflate the spare to get it to fit under the car.
If you have a rear wheel carrier you wont have this problem of course.
I think Gordon from GOE has had these tyres on his RRS.

GOE has a list of 18" tyres available on their site, I think he lists the Maxis as needing a fair bit of modification to fit - not sure what of.
On my iPhone screen too small to go and hunt.

I think it's only Rods or LLAMS required.

Until your suspension drops to the bump stops and then you need Gordon's emergency kit.

You will need modifications should your tyres exceed 800mm OD.
The 18" Maxxis Bighorns should be fine.

As Rich mentioned, you will need to deflate your spare.

Had my tyre wheel alignment today, and removed the 20am (26) fuse. The car sat perfectly still....not adjustments by the suspension.....thanks for the tip guys.

Attached are pics of my new touring rubber. Originals go back open again after the weekend. Will alternate as needed.

Normal height so far no rubbing at all...even at -20 with LLAMS. Tried to reverse up a ramp with steering wheel turned at full lock both ways with no rubbing....so far so good. If it does rub its likely only to be minor as others have experienced. Thought I may need to run around on +30 but no need.

Can't wait to hit the beach this weekend, then Israelite Bay over Christmas, then Warren River dunes on Australia Day long weekend....I guess I might leave them on until the 29th January.

Can't seem to attached photos the right way up.....and can't attach more than one!
Pics are correct when I up load them, but upside down when I view them...

So if you have a suspension problem and it goes down to the bump stops will the wheels still turn and steer??

Front of the rear wheel arch liners will be most likely to rub.
No issue but you may wear through the lining, I have on both sides on mine!
Driving over a million moguls in the Nth Simpson did it for me.
