Thread: key fob housing replacement

Hello Together,

I did a search but could not find any info about it.

A while ago I purchased a aftermarket D3 replacement key housing
but have not used it.

Last couple of days my current key buttons started to disintegrate
but I cant find the manual anymore how to do the actual swap of the housing.

does someone still have this by chance?

i answer my own question:

Old key needs to be preyed open with screw driver (I started at the key hinge) after that is open the actual key can be un winded and the tension from spring released and taken out, next take micro chip and place both in new FOB (ensure key is wound up again) glue together with super glue.

new replacement housing for $25
