Well I can see it is a syndrome as I am starting to drop a bit of wedge myself....
Look !!!ยก I think it's like anything.....ie fishing you can have the best rod and tackle and a guy at the end of the pier with a hand reel can be having the same fun......sure he has sore hands but he still lands the fish......
If I have to take it out when I Get a flat so be it.....I'm going for the drifta as it seems the most fool proof and I like the runner system...
Spare wheel will end up in a carrier but this summer ,....Kangaroo Island here I come.....complete with Kitchen drawer

I remember when "Drifta" started many years ago & there were no such things as drawers & such as they mostly dealt only with kitchen set ups & small storage systems.

I do like there double stacked drawer & fridge to the side...Damn you people, I can feel some TILS coming on....Oh beautiful wife.......

If as the YouTube video suggests you can get the drawers made to your specifications, you could ask for a hole to be put into the floor possibly where the fridge is to gain access to the spare, this would save removing the unit to get to that location.

    Group buy?

Currently in the process of getting Drifta drawers done and I will not need to remove drawer system but only one drawer and that will give me access to the spar wheel nut.

However with table, wings, fridge slider etc come to just above 2k

just out of interest: how 'removable' are these drawers? are they heavy & is it a major PITA to taken them out & put them back in?

Something likel this would be great for trips but generally our boot is filled up with toys and kids stuff so the drawers would get in the way.

@ herrblick will be driving over there Friday so they can take exact measurements of the sub floor (and they can put a strengthening angle in my CT kitchen)
My specs are on top of my post below I also requested access to spar wheel nut and the use of 3rd floor for additional storage.

@ geoz - do you mean drawers or the whole drawer system? Drawers should be easy to remove system you would need to unbolt some nuts.

Good point with kids toys as we are in same position but did not think much about when we don't travel, hope the bikes will still fit in the boot otherwise I guess it will need to be the roof rack as I don't think I will remove system after every second or so weekend

i meant the whole thing. currently my daughter's bike, my wife's roller blades, the beach gear ... lives in there, and i can't see how that would fit with the drawer system in place. on top of that we sometimes need the 7 seats. as long as it takes no more than 30 min to take out or put back in i would not be too concerned.
