This is my removable system made last night. No bolts etc.

This photo is bare without bits fitted

Below photo shows my ARB compressor at the rear underneath. Have my recovery gear, tools etc in the draw at the front.

    Hi Steve,
It isnt fixed at all. Just sits there. I think the weight of the fridge and the fact that it is sitting on the rubber matt, keeps it secure.
Suits my purpose, as you still have plenty of storage room (as per photo below), and you can easely put the sixth seat up if needed.

    Cheers, Craig

    Very nice Craig,

Any chance you will share the measurements, I carry exactly the same gear all just tied down to the floor at the moment

    Hi Gup,
The sides (or uprights) are ex 224 x 19 Pine ripped down to 200mm. The top is made from 12mm ply and measures 430mm overall wide at the rear where the draw unit sits into.
The carpet is from Bunnings and I used a contact adhesive in a spray can to adhere it. All bits were from Bunnings and cost about $120.00 all up.

    Good luck Gup, Craig

@ disco4se hm would not trust this if the going gets rough but looks like a nice cheap solution and I guess could be secured.

Just ordered my Drifta drawer system and have to say Luke and the guys have been very helpful and will include a 3 floor to use all cavity space below. whole system can be taken out within 10 minutes and will provide plenty of storage + table and fridge drop down slider

Hey Steve, We build $2m + architectural homes for a living, pretty sure I can glue & screw a shelf unit that will hold together

Here where you are coming from though.

I think he means it becoming a missile in an accident / rollover.
Without a cargo barrier or it securely fixed down it's dangerous.

@ Rich - thanks for clarifying this was indeed what I meant

@ Craig not doubting your manufacturing expertise
as Rich pointed out I would be concerned about the whole unit moving in to directions you may not want it to move to. Especially in an accident or at rough terrain.

My Aunty actually died during a car accident which was not caused by here but she had a unsecured wooden box in the boot of here car which became a missile and killed here. So I may be a bit over cautious.
