Can you see from where its coming - perhaps a loose spin-on filter?

So Friday last week I became the proud owner of an MY06 D3 V8.
Here it is on that happy afternoon:
And here it is today, half a tank and 200 km later
That's engine oil. Lots of engine oil. Running out like a tap.
Booked a flat bed for first thing Monday to take it back to Austral. Wish I could tell them to keep it.
After I spend a week telling people Land Rover's reliabilty woes are behind them...
Too gutted to write much more.

Preacher,
Don't lose faith ( no pun intended ) these things happen.
It will be something silly & as Graeme has said, may just be a loose filter.
May just be a pipe rubbing somewhere & you were the lucky person for it to go pop.
It will get fixed & you will laugh at it later on.
Chin up. :-)

Can't really see where its coming from due to the belly guard. I too am hoping/thinking its the filter, especially as I got Austral to service it before I picked it up. Should have got the price reduced and taken it to MR but I really wanted it right to go, not take it straight from showroom to workshop. Was planning to take to scenic rim 4wd park tomorrow too. SWMBO is NOT impressed.

						Nice looking D3.
They have colour coded the flares.
They are my favourite 19" wheels.
Hope all works out well.
Cheers
I hear these stories all too often from people buying new vehicles, not just Land Rovers. A guy I work with is on his second gearbox after about 1,000kms in a brand new Jeep. Can't remember all the other things, but lots of stuff fixed under warranty.
Still, I'm sure the bad luck is behind you now...
