    The AnD3rew Build Up

It begins. Have my Rhino platform with Foxwing and shovel holder. Also have a spare wheel strap and gas bottle strap and half size luggage bag for it.

Next step is long ranger tank, rear wheel carrier, cargo barrier, Mitch hitch and Llams Llams going in next week and hopefully ARB bar and Champion winch a couple of weeks after that.

Does anyone else have a foxwing?

I am considering taking the brackets off and turning them upside down to see if I can make it sit down lower. But
    a) don't knowing the brackets are reversible and
    b) if it will clear the doors and
c). If that will make it too low when it is extended.

Yeah looks almost orphaned sticking up there!
As you say just need to check that rear door but I'm sure it will foul if you move the awning down.

    Easily fixed....
Make everyone get in/out on the drivers side

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seriously tho', you could make your own brackets so they sit at the height you want to clear the doors.
From the photo, it looks like it is sitting too far back?
Should be flush with the tail gate.

    Cheers.

The photo makes it look further back than it is, but it's easily adjustable..

Very excited, just got the D3 back from from 4 days of fitting, now have 103lt Long Ranger Auxilliary tank, rear wheel carrier, safari snorkel, cargo barrier, Mitch hitch and Llams.

All looks awesome and very neatly done. Will post some pics tomorrow.

Only slight downer is that I no longer have reversing sensors. They said they can get them to work with the Mitch hitch, or with the rear wheel carrier but trying to get the to work with both is just too hard.
Might need to investigate reversing camera options.

Next stage is hopefully in the next two weeks, just waiting for the ARB bar to arrive which will then go on with a Champion winch and plasma rope, as well as the GME UHF, the Traxide dual battery kit with Optima yellow top and rear plugs and Anderson plug. As well as a Tekonsha brake controller and a GOE compressor plate (if Gordon gets around to sending it to me)

True, I have actually suggested to OzTent that they make a mounting bracket that hinges backwards so it sits down flat on the rack when not in use and the locks up when you want to use it. Either that or that has a sliding bracket that drops down when not in use and then slides up when you want to deploy it. Will be interested to see if they do anything with this.

One thing I did notice with the aux tank full is that it does handle a bit differently and feels a little light in the front, afew bumps in the road which would not normally unsettle it caused the traction control to get all excited.

Hopefully the front bar when fitted might balance it back out a bit.
