Thinking the worst - Good Customer Service
Funny how you think the worst.
My D4 brakes began to squeal & I assumed it was the EPB.
The squealing appeared to come from the rear wheels.
Booked it in to MLR for a look.
Turns out a small rock had lodged between the front disk & backing plate.
Rock removed no damage incurred.
MLR removed the rock & washed the car at no cost.
They would have been entitled to bill me but did not & even still washed the car.
That will teach me to take the wheels off & look before assuming the worst!!
Cheers
Chuck

Ahhh... Yes. Bit of an occupation hazard when you drive off-road.
It sounds a lot worse than it actually is.

G'day Chuck, that's great news and even better that you posted it. Too many times people state the negative and not the positive.
Cheers

That is good news, my car could do with a clean.
Now where was that knocking noise coming from again

Yep - good customer service deserves a pat on the back - I've just booked my D3 into MLR for some work and I told Sniegy not to make a big fuss when I arrive at the dealership... maybe just a small brass band and some dancing girls ... oh and maybe a bottle of bubbly - but as I said "no fuss" - just keep it small.... heh heh heh

Oldsalt,
Having trouble with the small brass band, have a tentative booking with the MSO in case I need them ;-)

Yep - as subtle as a house brick through a pane of glass !!!!
I must say though that MLR's phone manner is great (compared to some other dealers) and I've also had some e-mail feed back from Jason Hopkins about my needs during the service and so far it would appear that they are a dealer who actually care about their customers....which makes a nice change.
cheers

O.K. - picked the car up yesterday - all serviced and running very sweetly - they washed and vacuumed it too
- they also changed the front crossover valve in the air suspension (covered by my Allianz extended warranty)
so I'm a happy camper.
I'm a satisfied MLR customer and I'll be using them again.
cheers
