that looks like a really well designed piece of equipment & much better than digging out the spare wheel from underneath (say with a fully loaded boot).

it would be great if the latch could be designed in such way that the parking sensors are not obstructed, my wife drives the car most of the time and is a big fan of the beepers.

I like the pin latch to keep it open, that's the only complaint I have about mine which I think is Dolium that if you are on the wrong angle the carrier wants to swing back and you have to hold it out of the way until you have the bottom tailgate down and then wedge a rag in to protect the tailgate.

Do some measuring, weld a tab on the spigot base and the arm and fit a gas strut

I have the 4x4 intelligence RWC, I am happy with both the catch & gas strut set up they both work really well.
However I ca't say the same about the RPSensors.

Someone asked in Show us your Disco / RRS thread for me to post a rear on view of the 4X4 Intellegence RWC to see how far it covers the R/H tailight:

Note these are 285/60 R18 tyres which are approx 36mm larger in diameter than standard tyres.

The centre of the wheel is 450mm left of the centre axis point.
