When I was kid my dad towed our 16 foot Millard van behind 161 Holden Belmont up through there.....believe me she didn't do it with that much ease!
Looks like the D4 has plenty of power to get the job done.

    Cheers, Mick.

You were going west to east, the easy way. Looking forward to seeing the video and hearing your comments going up the other way pulling that 3.5 tonne van up the 10% grade.

I don't have video of that as it got overwritten by the camera. It was no challenge the D4 was able to maintain the speed limit on that side as well. I even had to come to a stop on the way up to give a truckie 60l of water. He blew a heater hose and didn't have enough water.

The D4 pulls like a train uphill it is at max boost doing it

Yes Brian I'm not knocking the video but the west/east is an easy pull. The same as you, I would like to see the East/West pull as it is much, much steeper and a lot more bends.

Question; Does the 3.0 D4 have egt and boost protection. My previous vehicle was a 3.0l Patrol and the engine grenaded with failure of pistons due heat.

Yes, not sure about the other engines.
