    D4 wind noise

Just completed road trip, once over 100 kph got very bad wind noise from outside of vehicle, no obvious cause found yet. Happened over 2 days and only over 100?? Any suggestions as to where to start

Is this the first time you've had the car over 100kph or has it just started happening?

The rather large mirrors create probably the only noise on my D4...it is quite noticeable....well reported characteristic.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Have a look at the window guides off the doors. If this slips down, as it does at times, there is a substantial pocket that traps air passing. I had this occur on my D2. Adjusted the guides upward & wind noise reduced dramatically

Yeah, the Missus complains about the wind noise in our D2, but it's mostly from me, Bob

Do you have a roofrack, or even just the roofrack rails fitted, or a snorkel ? All introduce noise.

Check the out A pillar trims. Loose trims creating wind noise were a common problem on D3s so the D4 might be similar.

Also check the top windscreen seal, this sometimes lifts & lets air become audible at speed.
    Cheers
