    I did the Spanish steps last year and my D4 just walked up them, but yeah, having larger tyres helps. I run 265/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx, but I think I'll be going to muddies next, and I've heard the STTs aren't too much, so ill have to look at something else.

    Hi Interested in how well the Cooper 265/70/17 ST Maxx went on the D4.

    Clearances, general suitiblity etcc as an all rounder tyre

    Should be OK. The overall diameter is 808mm. Nearly got them myself, but the extra noise from the tyre put me off. If I had a second set of rims, they would be ideal.

    Two I have used: the Interco Super Swamper Radial is 32.4", the Mickey Thompson MTZ is 31.9"

    I think I will fit the MT MTZ on scratchy, have the Cooper HT+ in 265/65/17 on "shiny" and that works quite well so far
    though 265/70 will be higher again
