    Gerni and D3 Chassis

I have always pushed the hose into the chassis of my vehicles following a trip to a sand island and almost every time after a mud fest.

Come Fathers’ Day 2012 my list of needs included a Gerni as I am sure many of have experienced. My wife was so inspired she bought some sort of auto value pack that included a paver thingy, automotive brush, two different spray jets and a drain cleaner. Don’t ask me how a drain cleaner got into the automotive value pack.

After a trip to Stradbroke Island I decided to see what would happen if I used the drain cleaner in the chassis sections. With a slim design and flexible tubing the high pressure nozzles (one forward and three backwards) make short work of the Chassis sections.

I was amazed at the volume of material that came out and the colour changed with the region of the chassis to the point there were four distinct colours of sand and mud pooling under the car.

I would recommend all those Discovery beach goers take the time to flush this out and if you have some sort of device similar to the Gerni drain cleaner attachment then give it a workout next time you are in a cleaning mode.

So next Fathers' Day I am thinking Chain Saw... Just working on the justification.
