If you press the two mirror selection buttons simultaneously they fold in and again to fold out.

No voice control for my 12SE. It has HiLine audio but not the nav.

Must look into seeing if creating contacts on the car is possible to get some regular numbers stored in there as searching the phone contacts can be a little distracting. Using Last 10 helps but is not ideal.

I have a MY12 D4 SE with Nav and HiIce.

My steering wheel voice button works for "Say what you see". I'm not in the car now to double check but I can dial contacts based on name IIRC. Certainly I can give it commands via voice.

Interesting. It looks like Nav and HiIce/Line is the combo that gives you voice command. If you just get the upgraded audio you miss out.

If you don't have nav then you don't have it.

Sent from my iPad using Forum Runner

Yes, the voice command will recognise what you say. So if you say "phone contact" and then after the beep the name, it will populate the screen with the name (and anything else close). Then chose the correct contact by saying the line number, and then if that contact has more than one number (home, office, mobile) it will populate those and you again choose the line number. It is pretty good.

The best part about "say what you see" is switching between CD, USB, Radio, etc. If you want to switch from CD to USB you have to press a few buttons to get to the screen to select it. With "say what you see" it is simply say "USB play" and away it goes. One step, one command, and you don't need to take your eyes off the road.

    Cheers

    Hi All,

I've heard numerous mentions of a D4 being able to play music via blue tooth. Myself and others have asked how you achieve that but I've never seen an answer beyond make the selection.....

Phone works fine as a BT phone but I haven't been able to get music working.

I guess first port of call...I have a MY10 SE but it does have Sat Nav and a Logic 7 H&K Sound System....so will it work?

    If so, how so.....PLEASE...HELP, Anybody????

    Cheers,

    Kev.

    Oh BTW iPhone 4.

I have a 12SE HiLine sound but here is how it works for my system. (I too have an iPhone 4)

You can bluetooth to the music on your phone but not while another music device is plugged into one of the usb slots. So, with no ipod hardwired into the sound system get in the car with your phone. It will pair the phone normally. Then go to My Music and you will see the menu of sources. Choose bluetooth and it will eventually locate the music on your phone and you are away. (There is some loss of music search functionality)

So it's a feature but to me not a very useful one. Even if I don't have my iPod and was going to use my phone's music library, I would plug the phone into the usb, get full iPod music functionality and charge up the phone at the same time. When I do the phone works fine via bluetooth while the phone's music goes down the wire so to speak.

Does the MY10 system have this feature? I don't know but don't fret it if it doesn't. In my normal use of the car sound system, it's not a feature I'd miss. It would be useful if I not only forgot my ipod but forgot the connection wire as well but I keep a wire in the car permanently. The thing for me is that if you're gonna have portable music you may as well carry your entire music collection, which for me is bigger than the phone's storage capacity, hence the hardwired iPod for music and leave the phones as phone.

Hope this is of some use.

Not applicable to the 10MY, that's why you have a lead.
