    Fuel Additives yes or no?

    hello,

Just wondering is someone using Diesel Power or any other additives on a regular base and do you feel it makes a difference?

    Cheers

I use one to keep snot at bay. I don't notice any difference in driving, even though it advertises its self as doing all sorts of things. I guess it depends on what you are starting with.

I can't remember the name off hand, but there are a few threads around if you search for them.

I use Chemteck Diesel conditioner and principally to keep the fuel tank bugs at bay. It also says it improves power and I agree with what flagg has to say.

I use "Lucas" upper cylinder lubricant / fuel conditioner - the distributor gave us a lecture and handed out free samples at a VLROC meeting a few years back and I have been using it ever since - the engine seems to run quieter and smoother - I stick 300ml in with every tank full, can be bought at Repco etc...
    cheers

    Hi Steve,
I tried Diesel Power and it didn't seem to do much, however I did notice a difference when I added TC W3 2 Stroke oil.
The engine definately runs quieter and the economy seems to have improved. I kept a record of the economy for 6 tanks of fuel prior to using the 2 stroke oil and am only on my 3rd since. Will need to wait until after the 6th tank to know the difference.
There is quite a bit of talk about the 2 stroke on this link http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/168021-tdv6.html

    Cheers, Craig

Chemtech Diesel Power. Been using it on all my diesel vehicles for about 10 years.

When I put a long range tank in my previous car after 4 years of travelling, we could not believe how clean the replaced smaller sub tank was. My old man has been fitting tanks for more than 30 years, and had never seen a tank that clean. I put it down to Chemtech.

No noticeable difference in power or smoothness.....but I know my tank is clean!

Thanks a lot for all the feedback I will give diesel power of go and have a read of the 2 stroke thread. A lot of guys in my local four-wheel-drive club recommended it but they're all drive Nissans or toyotas
